Episode 31

Joe visits Cruz at his boathouse and asks him to invite Kelly there so he can meet her privately. Cruz complies and, once Kelly is there, he goes out to leave Joe with her. Joe gives Kelly a ring that he had planned to give her on the anniversary of Channing Jr's death. But Kelly prefers leaving, keeping the ring. Mason leaves Philip to be alone to accept Veronica at the Capwell residence. But Augusta interrupts this brave appointment, by revealing to Mason that she knows the true reasons of his house search in the Lockridge residence. Taken refuge in the neighbouring room, Veronica phones Lionel and informs him about Augusta's visit. So, in her return home, Augusta is surprised at discovering that Lionel knows where she had been. In Hollywood, Danny launches the fire alarm to scare people in front of the hotel room where the porno film with Jade is taking place. He enters the room by breaking-in and runs away with Jade. Holmby and his team take Jade and Danny up to their car, but are surprised by the police, sent there by Jake Dodge. Back sound on the Capwell yacht, Kelly tells Peter that she was at Cruz's. Peter, tired to see her still undecided on this subject, goes out to Cruz's boathouse. There, he is surprised to find Joe there. He then orders him to cease seeing Kelly and to leave the city as quickly as possible...

Episode 32

Joe and Peter fight. The unconscious, Peter is brought back on the Capwell yacht by Joe. Cruz visits Santana and discovers that she has appointment with C.C.. Warren goes to Hollywood and asks Laken to come back to Santa Barbara because he is worried about the situation. Meanwhile, Danny invites Jade to the restaurant. By going out, they meet David Hasselhoff in a phone box. He explains to them that chance is very important to succeed in Hollywood. When arriving back, Jade shows Danny a number of very sexy dance-cabaret shows which puts him in all states... Veronica, who does not know how to free herself anymore from Mason's advances, phones Lionel. He recommends naming the Lockridge to tranquilize his passion surely. Veronica complies and succeeds in bringing back Mason to earth, who agrees to walk her back home. On his return, Mason discovers Santana in the entrance together with his father. Right in the middle of their bedroom filled with candles, Lionel creates a "circle of the truth" where lies are forbidden for Augusta. But while Lionel lies about the identity of the person who has just called him, Augusta returns with the same by swearing not to have slept with Joe. Of benefit that Peter is confined to bed, Kelly goes back to Cruz's boathouse and decides to return the ring to Joe. Once again, she assures him that everything is finished between them...

Episode 33

Because of the return of classes and in spite of the calls from Willard Holmby, Jade, Laken, Danny and Ted say goodbye to Peaches Delight and Jake Dodge and go back to Santa Barbara. Ted invites his father to have dinner at the beach bar with Laken and her parents. He indeed has important news to be announced to him. Laken tells Augusta and Lionel the same. Veronica reveals to Lionel Mason's plans concerning the property of the beach belonging to Lockridge. Lionel later accepts a phone call from his lawyer who tells him that the residence is about to be put on auction and that the Capwell's are the first on the list of purchasers. To the great displeasure of Cruz, Santana is continuing to charm C.C.. Cruz accepts Peter's visit, then a visit from Augusta, about Joe. Peter then announces to Mason his fears of losing Kelly. He ends up joining her in the Capwell residence and accuses her of still being in love with the murderer of her brother. At this moment, a delivery man brings flowers intended for Kelly. With the bunch, Kelly finds the ring which she had returned to Joe. Escaping the questions from Peter, she escapes...

Episode 34

At the beach bar, Ted reads to Augusta, Lionel and to C.C. the different clauses within the "contract" that he wrote with Laken, aimed at getting their relationship accepted by both families. Augusta accuses Warren of not being rather strict with Laken, but she sides with his sister by attacking Augusta's way of life for seventeen years. Lionel then has an appointment with his banker, but the banker refuses the loan which would allow him to buy back the residence at the beach desired by the Capwell's. Kelly lies and tells Peter that flowers were sent to her by her father. She confirms that she is not sure anymore either of the guilt of Joe, or his desire to get married. Suddenly, she drops the ring to the floor and Peter realises that the flowers came from Joe. Tired by his mistrust and his continuous accusations, Kelly forces Peter to leave her alone. Ted then tries to alleviate his sister, but Kelly refuses to tell him about her problems. When he goes back to see her with C.C., Kelly seems to have disappeared from the residence. At the lunch table, Rosa, Ruben and Danny make light of Santana about Cruz, when he arrives.  Everybody leaves so that just Cruz and Santana are there. Cruz tries to find out why Santana is trying so hard to model off Sophia. He at first thinks that it is because she wants to punish her parents to have remained employees of the Capwell's, then imagines that it is to entice C.C. to relive her love across him for Channing Jr. He then asks her to help him prove that Joe is innocent of his murder by giving her details of the place where Channing and she met secretly. Santana tells him about the small gazebo between the Capwell and Lockridge properties. Waiting for the night, Santana goes there and searches the site in vain where Channing Jr hid their love letters. But, Dominic turns up...

Episode 35

Back at home, Santana rereads the letter from Channing Jr in which he described the hiding-place in the gazebo. Of benefit that C.C. is occupied on the telephone with Gina about the state of health of a child named Brandon, Santana searches and ends up finding the stash. But when she comes back home, she finds her flat in disarray: Dominic passed thereabouts. Angry, Santana accuses Cruz of having searched her home in her absence, and then retracts. While the whole family is worried about Kelly, she ends up calling home. She entrusts Ted with the telephone number to reach her, but asks him not to give it to anybody. Later, Ted accepts a call from his other sister Eden, C.C. leaves urgently for Los Angeles, to find famous Gina. Richard Adam comes to announce to Peter that works at the presidential suite of the Capwell hotel are finished and that the two-way mirror was installed. Peter makes him promise to reveal to nobody the existence of this device. And yet already, Veronica notices something on the bill of jobs and questions her boss on this subject. Peter asks her to keep it secret, then to join Mason there at a party, so that he could spy on him. Without waiting, Veronica makes a report of this last news to Lionel, who hastens to go to the Capwell hotel. Hidden in the linen room where it has access to the face hidden behind the mirror, he discovers Peter in brave company with... Augusta. Meanwhile, Dominic went to the gazebo at the Capwell's and begins searching the hiding-place of Channing Jr, when suddenly a voice interrupts him...

Episode 41
Jade, Laken, Danny and Ted decide to buy an old abandoned hotel and to repair it. In The Mesa, by seeing Lionel and Warren at the neighbouring table, Joe rethinks the initials "L.L ".  But he refutes the idea that it could be those of Lionel Lockridge. For his part, Lionel announces to his son that he lost the property at the beach by auction. C.C. learns that Gina DeMott, the widow of one of his old friends, is located in one of the rooms of the Capwell hotel with her son. He asks Peter to ensure that she is afterwards transferred to the presidential suite. While he tries to reach Santana, Veronica informs him that she is with Peter at the Capwell hotel which she is re-decorating. C.C. rushes into the front entrance of the presidential suite and urges Santana to leave again with him. But suddenly the lift opens and Gina and the small Brandon get out, they acquaint themselves with Peter and Santana. Santana is moved to meet a boy of the same age as a son whom she was forced to give up. Joe drives Kelly to the stash where he has appointment with Dominic. Dominic, on Joe's orders, repeats the real circumstances of the death of Channing Jr: Joe and he were in the corridor when a gunshot blared from Channing's office. When entering the office, Channing was on the floor. Kelly, who had remained hidden, then shows herself to Dominic and encourages him to follow this search of the truth on the death of her brother...

Episode 42
Peter goes to the Capwell residence in search of Kelly. He only finds Mason there, who tells him that she is with Joe at this moment. Mason then complacent to treat Peter as a finished man, who does not have a future anymore with the Capwells. Santana and C.C. speak about the past and finish up in bed. At the beach bar, Warren asks his father about the era with Sophia Capwell. Lionel tells him that they have never had a relationship and that this history belongs to the past. By going back home, Peter is surprised by two men who tie him up and gag him on a chair. A big black woman, Ginger, then appears who seems to know longstanding Peter. It proves to be that at that time known as Antonio, Peter was a gigolo in Miami for Ginger. Meantime, Kelly goes to Peter's and tells him that she met a witness who can exonerate Joe. Trying to listen to their discussion, Peter tells her that he approves her new friendship with Joe. Kelly again leaves happy, going to Ginger and her men. Ginger claims 250 000 dollars from Peter without revealing her past with the Capwells. By going back home, Dominic begins taking off his clothes, then the beard which proves to be a fake. It seems that Dominic is in fact a woman...

Episode 43
C.C. gives Santana a bracelet belonging to the family. He then invites her to his birthday party, where he plans to make the official announcement of their relationship. She uses this to approach the subject of her son by revealing to him that Joe and Cruz know about his existence. C.C. tells her that he will do everything to protect her son. By asking him when he attended the party, Mason understands that his father has a new baby-friend. At the high school Lyman, Danny is confronted with Michael Adams, a schoolmate of Jade, Laken and Ted, whose team is going to play football. The band of four then has an appointment in the Capwell residence with an estate agent about the purchase of the hotel. But the agent demands that an adult signs the bill of sale. Joe asks Kelly for information on Sophia, notably on his reports with Lionel. But Kelly knows nothing. Joe then goes to Dominic and searches his flat. He finds female underwear there and thinks that Dominic has a woman when, suddenly, Domenic comes back accidentally and surprises him. Peter visits Kelly and encourages her to go to the city with him. But Kelly refuses, preferring continuing working with her dressmaker on the dress for C.C.'s birthday. When the dressmaker comes back into the room, Peter is surprised to see Ginger...

Episode 44
Joe leaves Dominic's by having stolen a card mentioning Beacon house in Anchorage in Alaska. With the help of Kelly, he discovers that it is a psychiatric asylum. While Mason prepares his birthday present for C.C. (the act of property at the beach), Lionel envelops his: a tape recorder on which is written "Listen To Me". C.C. offers Gina to give her a holiday to help her recover after the death of her husband. At this moment, afterwards at the presidential suite, Summer Blake, the sister of Gina, has come to visit her. She seems interested by the perspective to stay a while in Santa Barbara with her. Peter goes to Augusta and asks her for 250 000 dollars which Ginger wants. He promises her to return it to her once Kelly will be married to him. And yet having seen Kelly and Joe leading their investigation into the true murderer of Channing Jr, Augusta proves to be uncertain facing the possibility of a marriage between Peter and Kelly. She refuses therefore to help him and shows Peter the door. She then joins Warren at the beach bar, where he tries to flirt with Summer, and informs him that Kelly and Joe are on the track of the murderer of Channing Jr. She says to him that they suspect the representative for the break-in which took place a few days before the drama to also be the murderer. Warren urges to come back home and opens a chest in which is lined up of press cutting relating to the break-in. He burns them in the chimney. By arriving home, Peter finds Ginger and her men viewing a tape of the achievement of Peter with his customers of that era. Mad with rage, Peter destroys the tape, but Ginger promises to still have full copies...

Episode 45
Augusta is concerned about the inquiry into Kelly and Joe. Augusta, who is in possession of gold coins stolen from the Capwells, gets into contact with Rudy, the representative for a dry-cleaner's, and asks him if he keeps records of his transactions. Minx, who was seen out by the police having tried to force her way into the property at the beach, learns from Lionel that the residence belongs to the Capwells from now on. In a hopeless situation, Peter asks Mason if he could lend him the money which he needs, saying that his father needs it as an excuse. Mason ends up accepting if, in exchange, Peter succeeds in returning Joe who is in prison. Peter does not need more time to go to Joe's garage to hide a sachet of cocaine under the seat of his motorbike. Santana learns from Cruz that he went to Acapulco, to investigate Dr Ramirez. She asks him again to stay. Laken and Ted make a sign for Kelly at their hotel, whilst a private plane flies loudly over the residence. A young blonde woman, who says she is the daughter of C.C., flirts with the pilot. The celebration for C.C.'s birthday finally begins. Mason is surprised at seeing Santana arriving and wonders who accompanies her. Noting that it is not Cruz, he discovers at the same time with amazement that it is his own father...

Episode 51
Mr Bottoms decides to punish Ted for having made the class leave his course the day before. To take out revenge on Bottoms, Ted announces a mischievous plan that involves Laken and Danny. In The Mesa, Kelly sees an announcement in the newspaper to get into contact with Dominic. She entrusts her certainties and John Perkins regarding Joe's innocence, when Sally informs her he has tried to reach her by telephone. It is Dominic who waits for her in the habitual den. Eden stops Lionel from leaving a note of appointment on Sophia's grave. Warren brings Summer home to show her works of art belonging to the family. She is newly welcomed by Augusta, obviously jealous.  At the Capwell hotel, Gina is in search of Brandon who seems to have disappeared. Believing Brandon's joke, she finds his plush bear in the corridor on the floor. But no trace of Brandon...

Episode 52
Peter accepts Ginger's visit to his office and makes the first down payment of his ransom to her. At the Capwell hotel, everybody bustles about to find Brandon. To help the police, Mason asks Gina for the date and place of birth of the child. C.C., who was told by Gina that Santana was at the hotel during the day, goes home. Using an excuse to look after his security, he searches each of the rooms, in reality in search of Brandon. Finally, Peter enters the linen room to take possession of the presidential suite, finds Brandon asleep on the floor. Once in the room they discover the other face of the two-way mirror, it does serve as a hiding-place for Brandon in another room.  He brings back Brandon, still asleep, following Gina. Peter is thanked and treated as hero by C.C.. Eden leaves the graveyard again without seeing anybody. Lionel recovers the present which he had given her and gives it to Augusta: it is a scarf and a big necklace which had been intended for Sophia in the past. At night, Ted and Danny go to a circus. They drive him up to the high school Lyman and lock him up in the schoolroom of Mr Bottoms. Jade, Marisa and John are told information by Cruz that helps stop their rescue in the sea to find Joe. Joe is in fact lying inanimate on the high seas, on a small boat driven by two foreigners without seeing their faces...

Episode 53
Joe wakes up on board of a boat with two mysterious men from Yugoslavia, Ivo and Jasna. They at last discover who Joe is, but agree to keep him, nonetheless with them. Ted and Danny paly a joke in Mr Bottoms' classroom: Mr Bottoms is shocked when he discovers a camel in the early hours in his schoolroom. At home, Dominic destroys his medical records which Joe had stolen in Anchorage. Peter learns from C.C. that he overheard a discussion the day before between him and Gina whom he discovered that Brandon had been adopted. C.C. makes a promise to repeat nothing. Peter understands that he put the finger on a means to make some money. In possession of a recording of the discussion that occurred behind the mirror of presidential suite, Peter offers a deal to Mason: he reveals the secret he knows if Mason gives him 230 00 dollars which he has to then give to Ginger. When, later, Mason finds Santana in the Capwell residence, he casually slips him the information about Brandon being an adopted child.  Santana doesn't have to wonder for long if Brandon would be her son. Warren withdraws from the rescuer's rack the case containing the gold coins which he stole from the Capwell's and decides to bring them back home. But, surprised by the arrival of Summer, he drops the chest and overturns all rooms with earth...

Episode 54
Summer sees the gold coins that Warren stole from the Capwells, but lies to her about their origin and succeeds in taking out this bad step. He accuses Summer of working with Kelly by questioning her about her contacts with the Capwells. When he arrives back home, Warren shows his mother the coins and tells her that Summer saw them. Lionel accompanies Minx in The Mesa where she has an appointment with a young man, Brick Wallace, whose curriculum vitae she seems to know by heart. She offers him to be her new driver, Ambrose having left to go into exile in Australia! Lionel suspects his mother of having a relationship with his interlocutor of The Mesa. On board of the boat, Joe discovers a system of an electronic radar hidden in a cupboard. Ivo and Jasna threaten him with a weapon after noticing his discovery, but Joe manages to avoid them. After different negotiations, Mason offers Peter to deposit part of the money which he needs if he reveals to him the information which he has. Peter accepts and informs Mason that it is C.C. who took responsibility for the adoption of Brandon himself by Gina and whom he wants to keep this secret operation. Santana speaks to her mother of her doubts concerning Brandon. While C.C. spends the night at home, she discreetly phones Brandon and asks him for the date of his birthday. Brandon tells her the same day when she gave birth to her son...

Episode 55
C.C. wakes up alone and finds the photo of Brandon which Santana took out from his wallet and forgot to line up. Anxious, he tries then to reach Santana and learns that she is not at her job. Suspecting something, he calls home and questions Rosa. Rosa, who has just learnt that her daughter left for Los Angeles to find her son, becomes confused and accidentally puts C.C. on Santana's track. To support his accusations of murder concerning his son, Augusta shows Lionel the gold coins which Warren stole from the Capwells. Lionel obliges his son to speak, but in vain. It is the first working day of Brick, the new driver of Minx. He is already tested by "innocently" leaving the purse on the seat of the car. But he proves his integrity by returning the money in its entirety. Having spent hours in the room of Channing Jr, Kelly goes to a church, to pray for Joe, when a mysterious person comes to sit down not far from her.  It is Joe.  Before C.C. takes the plane for Los Angeles in pursuit of Santana, Mason brings him up to date on the intervention in the adoption of Brandon by DeMott. C.C. allows him to speak whilst boarding the plane, the pilot of which is other than... Dominic! Arriving at Los Angeles, he makes a lookout in front of Gina's flat, when he finally sees Santana in a car coming into sight. He goes up to the vehicle and surprises her...

Episode 61
Peter arrives in the room where Kelly sleeps, Joe has already left. Kelly, who cannot support Peter's accusations anymore, announces to him she is breaking their engagement. Back with Sally, Kelly asks if she could keep her flat for her only. Sally accepts. Coming back from her job at The Mesa, Sally is surprised to discover Joe getting out of the shower and then he faints. Kelly accepts a call from Dominic which fixes an appointment. Kelly decides after talking to Dominic to tell the police her version of facts of the evening of the death of Channing Jr, to honour the memory of Joe. At the Lockridge residence, Amy thanks Brig for having taken time out from his affairs the other evening. When Peter goes back to his office, Veronica informs him that Mason got compromising information concerning the dressmaker of Kelly. Peter calls Ginger and arranges to meet her to give him the rest of the money which she owes him. He prepares his briefcase and slips his revolver in there...

Episode 62
When Kelly confronts Dominic about being a woman, Dominic is shocked and runs away. At Sally's place, Joe accepts Cruz's visit and informs him about his ordeal in the sea with the couple of Russian spies. He is surprised to see his off-loading father has decided to take back their relationship to zero. Warren asks Kelly to return the gold coin to him, pretending to be the true owner. Amy goes to the job interview which Brick organised with Minx. But it seems that her trying does not carry its fruits. Mason questions his father about Gina, but does not succeed in finding out where she is. By telephone, he ends up learning that she is in Nice with her son. Happy to be able to give this information to Santana, he gives her this news. Santana reserves the first flight for France. Peter goes to his appointment with Ginger and gives her the money. He gets ready to take out his revolver, but is surprised by her two hit-men hidden behind him. He tells them that Mason knows everything about this. Threatened by Mason, Peter later asks Ginger to return the money to him because without it he will not be able to continue paying her. Ginger searches for another solution to obtain this money and thinks immediately of Kelly...

Episode 63
Laken, Jade, Danny and Ted officially open their hotel, Frisky Business. They already receive a large number of reservations for sexual activities from unfaithful couples. Kelly announces to her father that she broke off the engagement with Peter. Summer brings Warren back in the room that Kelly had found. And yet Warren discovers by looking at her closely that it is not the room. He tries to find out from Summer why Kelly would have exchanged her. Lionel sends presents to Eden and arranges to meet her in the gazebo. Eden goes there and allows Lionel to charm her, who also brings her a book of poems. Peter, obeying Ginger's orders, asks Kelly to join him in his house. But his conscience makes him finally retract, and then he cancels the appointment. But he is already too late, Kelly is indeed busy with her dressmaker who is other than Ginger...

Episode 64
Both hit-men hired by Ginger come into sight in the living room, pretend to be taken to Ginger, then attack in Kelly by gagging her and putting her to sleep with an injection. Peter, who tried to leave the city, is surprised in his car by one of the men with Ginger who drives her to him. Ginger asks him to play the game with Kelly not surviving. Cruz, acting on the suspicion of Joe, sees Warren in the State Street bar. Warren is sitting down at the table with Summer, finally promises to give him all his confidence. At their hotel, Danny discovers contraceptive pills in Laken's bag. But Laken assures him that she has not had sexual relations with Ted yet. Danny deeply encourages her to cross that step. Santana has arrived at Nice. She gets a hotel room on the same floor as that of Gina and Brandon. She finally has the chance to discover them in the corridor. Getting worried not to see her coming back, Joe learns from Sally that Kelly had appointment with her dressmaker. Unable to leave to conduct his research without risking being discovered, Joe asks Sally to phone Mason to put him on the track. Mason understands that Kelly is in bad hands, when he accepts Ginger's phone call. Ginger asks him for a million dollars to see Kelly living again...

Episode 65
Augusta goes to see Sally in search of Kelly and discovers evidence allowing her to think that a man lives in the flat. Back at home, Augusta discovers Brick engaged in full accounting jobs, financed by Minx. She continues wondering what could push her stepmother to hire Brick. In Nice, Santana ends up showing herself to Gina. She offers to replace the baby-sitter of Brandon during her appointment with a French man. Ginger gets her hit-men to record a message of Kelly intended for her father. She then phones C.C. and makes him listen to the message. She asks that Peter in person brings the ransom. Joe has received the confirmation, through Sally, that Kelly was kidnapped. He asks Cruz to fix an appointment with Dominic on his boat. There, he shows himself to Dominic and asks him to help find Kelly. But Dominic is under stress after learning about the kidnapping of Kelly and bursts into tears. Ted, who got ready for a romantic evening with Laken, comes back urgently to the Capwell residence where everybody is on the war footing. For her part, Ginger promises to her two men that neither Kelly, nor Peter will survive this affair...

Episode 71
Peter goes to see Kelly and confesses that he lied to her about his past. To be excused, he offers to help her to prove Joe's innocence. Kelly accepts and begins by speaking to him about Dominic whilst taking out one of the letters from Dominic out of the bag. Peter scribbles on a piece of paper a word of appointment for Kelly by imitating Dominic's style. Joe, dressed up as old man, drives Peter without knowing it to Dominic. Peter admits the man who attacked him in his office and knows now that it is Joe's alibi. In Nice, Santana is surprised to see off-loading Mason in her hotel room. Mason gives her a splendid necklace and an invitation to be taken out.  Cruz shows C.C. the worrying results of seismological analyses performed in the region when, some minutes later, a light and quick jolt surprises the inhabitants of Santa Barbara. At the same time, Dominic writes a note of appointment to Lionel. Lionel learns from Warren that he stole gold coins from the Capwells after knowing that they were a present from Lionel to Sophia. When it comes the hour of appointment, Lionel goes to the graveyard and discovers an imaginable version of Sophia there which calls him...

Episode 72
At the graveyard, Lionel is confronted by Sophia's ghost who asks him to admit the truth about her death on the boat. Barely delayed by his emotions, Lionel is facing Dominic some minutes later, who questions him about Sophia. In Nice, Gina accepts a call from C.C. who asks her to come back to Santa Barbara to take control of urgent financial problems. Learning this news, Santana hastens to reserve her return on the same flight, with Mason. Cruz informs C.C. of the imminent risk of an earthquake in Santa Barbara. Eden refuses to believe in this possibility. Augusta tells Warren about the circumstances of his meeting with Lionel. She is interrupted by Summer, who has arrived to take diving classes with Warren. Both begin flirting, but when Warren tries to kiss Summer, she begins to be afraid. Lionel finds Augusta in the museum and confesses that he is worried about losing her. He is then taken by Eden who he accuses of wanting to make him mad. Questioned about their discussion by Augusta, Eden suggests to her that Lionel sees another woman frequently...

Episode 73
Augusta asks Lionel to re-form in the sound "circle of the truth" to find out if he sees another woman. Lionel swears to her that he isn't seeing anyone. He then goes then on the beach where he finds Eden. Eden tries to find out if he was her mother's lover. Meanwhile, by searching the bathroom, Augusta discovers the swimsuit covered with blood. Upon the return of Lionel, she welcomes him by opening the dressing gown, letting the aforementioned vest appear which she threaded. Ted reserved his father's yacht for a romantic party with Laken. Jade is delighted for her friend. After talking with Eden, Cruz informs Rosa of his fears concerning an imminent earthquake in the region. Marisa and John are invited by Amy to a small holiday to celebrate the reconciliation of Kelly and Joe. Kelly shows Joe the letter which Peter has just slipped under their door, thinking that it came from Dominic. Joe decides to go without waiting for the appointment in forested reservation. At his arrival, Peter is already there  waiting for him, parried to fire...
It will be necessary to wait for episode 172 before seeing Ginger Jones again.

Episode 74
Augusta makes a scene with Lionel, accusing him of having an affair. She later goes to Peter's office where she has a discussion with Eden. She discovers that she was in the same place as Lionel the previous day, and thinks immediately that she is his mistress. Joe is chased in the forest by Peter, armed with Ginger's rifle. Joe escapes his shootings and succeeds in disarming him. But Peter seizes another revolver. While threatening Joe, he recognizes to be the one who hid the cocaine in his motorcycle and admits that he knows he is innocent of Channing Junior's murder since the beginning. Gina must go away in Los Angeles for business. In spite of the disapproval of C.C., Santana insists that she entrusts him with Brandon for those days. Warren goes to the Capwell residence to try to recover the gold coins which he stole from them. But Kelly refuses to return them to him and then accuses him of the murder of Channing Jr.  Assaulted by this, she is helped by Ted. She just accepts at this instant Dominic's phone call which deflects not knowing about appointment which would have been fixed with Joe. Kelly understands that it is a trap. At the time when she finds Peter and Joe in the forest, a fight gets underway between both men in the course of which a gunshot blares suddenly...

Episode 75
Peter is wounded by the bullet. The police arrive and stop Joe while Peter is being driven to the hospital. In the ambulance, he begins confiding in Kelly about the evening when Channing Jr was killed, when he suddenly loses consciousness. John visits his son at the police station and assures him that he believes in his innocence. C.C. goes to Santana. He answers the telephone and learns that she has reserved two plane tickets for Rio. Across the mountains, Ted follows Warren on horseback, who has recovered the gold coins. Lionel goes to Sophia's grave and decides to tell the truth about Eden. He asks Eden to join him there and begins speaking to her, when they both are surprised by Augusta who runs away. Cruz is in John's office, the seismologist, when suddenly the seismic measuring device panics. Augusta, who makes a stopover at the edge of a cliff, is suddenly surprised by the breath of a very violent wind...

Episode 81
Sophia, still dressed in black, goes into Peter's room and demands to know the secret of the murder of her son. Surprised by a nurse, she leaves him between life and death. Still in the hospital, Eden becomes fond of Matt Powell, a young black boy who searches for his parents after the earthquake. She accompanies him to his home and surprises two burglars who assault her. As she has left her house in Bel Air, C.C. offers Gina to remain living with him in the residence. Gina invites herself at Santana's and worries to know if everything has ended well between her and C.C.. Santana confirms to her that their history belongs in the past. Made up as Dominic, Sophia visits Kelly and recommends she go to see Peter before it is too late. But in the hall of the hospital, they are surprised by Mason and Lionel...

Episode 82
Sophia is followed home by Lionel who enters her room. Hidden in half-light, she ends up calling the police, but goofs up by stating the name of her attacker on the telephone while Lionel had not yet arrived. Eden makes an announcement in front of TV cameras to find the parents of Matt. Brig is seen being offered by Minx to become her accountant but does not state why she has so much respect for him. He then discusses this with Amy to see if she thinks that money can change a man. Mr Bottoms asks one of his pupils, Michael Adams, to discover who manages the hotel Frisky Business. Peter decides finally to speak to Kelly. He confesses to her that on the day of the death of Channing Jr, he had threatened to reveal his links to Kelly and C.C. his link with Augusta and with Ginger Jones. He tells her that he knows Joe is innocent Joe because he has seen by the window of the office a bearded man entering after his death. Discovering in a mirror that Mason remained hidden in his room during his confession, Peter gets ready to reveal to her that he saw another person that day in the office...

Episode 83
Having confessed that the person he saw in Channing's office the day of his death is Mason, Peter has a cardiac arrest. He is saved in time by the doctors. Kelly then tries to discuss this revelation with her stepbrother, but Mason refuses. Lionel learns from Warren that he knows about his link with Sophia. He recommends to him to stop his search of revenge towards the Capwells. Laken, whose brother accepts her relationship with Ted, does the same there. Santana is informed by Gina that C.C. offered her to remain living in the Capwell residence. She suspects C.C. of acting so only to move him aside from Brandon. Discovering the empty room of Dominic, Lionel goes to the hospital where he questions Kelly about this scheming man. But he is interrupted by a nurse who asks him to leave her room...

Episode 84
Mason joins Santana at home and both confess to being awkward. Santana asks Mason to spend the night with her. The following day, Mason goes to see Peter in hospital and threatens to hold him responsible for the murder of Channing Jr. But the report of force turns around when Peter admits that he risks wholesale trade if C.C. learns that, even though he also knew Joe was innocent, he made everything to lead him in prison. It is also the day of Thanksgiving. All the Capwells (except Kelly) are united in the residence, in the course of repairing after the earthquake. Cruz learns by telephone that the parents of Matt were found. They arrive by helicopter and thank Eden.  Mr Bottoms follows his plan by reserving a room at the hotel held by Jade, Laken, Ted and Danny. But Jade makes an error and rents the same room to one call girl; this is close to driving Mr Bottoms to a heart attack when he comes back into the room! Finally, Kelly and Mason have a heated discussion in the hospital. She tells him that she hates him to have hushed up for so long time about Joe's innocence and especially to have nonetheless taken proceedings against him...
Sam Scarber, who plays Frank Powell, Matt's father, will come back in January 1987 to play another character, Zachary Terry.
It is on the air of No More Lonely Nights by Paul McCartney that Santana and Mason dance slowly, before sharing (chastely) their first night together.

Episode 85
Television informs on Joe's rehabilitation. Augusta fears that Warren is currently worried by the police. Dressed as a doctor, she visits Peter in the hospital and asks him what he knows about the murder of Channing Jr. For his part, Lionel accepts a call from Dominic who arranges to meet him/her at Sophia's grave. Before his/her arrival, he searches the gold coins which he had buried there. But it is in fact Dominic with them in his possession. He/She tells him about his/her guilty knowledge of the murder of Channing Jr. A policeman, in search of one call girl, surprises Mr Bottoms in the room with the call girl. Ted saves him the bet by telling the policeman that Mr Bottoms was there to spin two old brigands hidden in the room annexed to the room and who are stopped. C.C. accuses Santana of seeing Mason frequently only to get closer to Brandon. Finally, Kelly tries to phone to the prosecutor to report Mason, but she is interrupted by him. She tells him she is convinced that he is the murderer of Channing Jr...

Episode 91
Mason demands that Santana describes the feelings that she feels for him. He then threatens her to reveal the truth to Gina and Brandon if she refuses to marry him in the daytime - even. In San Fransisco, Amy and Brick have lunch with Jeff Barber, the supposed father of the child that Amy carries. But in front of the condescending tone of Jeff, Brick prefers that Amy says nothing to him. They then rent a room for the night. Warren prepares a night-time picnic for Summer in one of the rooms of the museum. Getting worried that he cannot reach Santana by telephone, C.C. goes home and accuses Mason there of having killed Channing Jr. Both men fight until Santana, armed with a kitchen knife, gets outside Mason of force...

Episode 92
Santana joins Gina and Brandon in The Mesa to tell them the whole truth before Mason forces her. But Gina is phoned by Mason. Santana, in tears, prefers leaving the bar. In the museum, Summer escapes when Warren tries to kiss her. It is on the beach where she comes to take refuge that memories of an ancient violent shone baby-friend return to a head. When Warren joins her, she decides to tell him everything. Rosa, then Danny, discovers that Santana packed her suitcases, well decided to leave the city. After a new brawl with C.C., Mason finds Gina and Brandon in The Mesa, but proves to be finally unable to tell them the truth. He goes to see Santana to apologise for his behaviour and finds the letter which she left him before leaving. Once taken it home, he reads the letter of goodbyes and sheds tears...

Episode 93
Eden takes diving classes with Cruz with the idea of approaching Amanda Lockridge. Veronica hastens to inform Lionel of it. Mason, who again packs up his business stayed in the Capwell residence, is joined by Eden. He sings the praises to her of the monstrosity of their father. C.C., who listens to them, interrupts them to tell them that Peter has just gotten out of the coma. Augusta and Lionel wonder to know who Minx pays to manage her business. Still in San Fransisco, Amy decides to remind Jeff of her pregnancy to him. Jeff shortly leaves after to her hotel room. He tells her it is impossible, because he had a vasectomy one year ago. He is knocked down by Brick when he accuses Amy of being a slut. Lionel gets his men to try and stop the woman who has tried to dive towards Amanda Lockridge. He discovers with astonishment that the woman is Eden. Augusta merges with Brick so she can from now be the accountant for Minx. Mason, who fears that Peter will speak to the police, orders that nobody approaches his room. After a prematurely born try to seduce Veronica, he goes to the hospital and gets outside Peter's room. When C.C. arrives, he is too much late: Peter already left in an ambulance towards an unknown location with Mason by his side...

Episode 94
Ted calls Laken to invite her to a romantic dinner on his father's boat. Each slip on city clothes by top the tail coat to deceive their parents. On his yacht, Lionel keeps Eden prisoner. He tries to entice her and speaks to her about the passion which he feels for her. Eden gets ready to succumb to his advances when suddenly she retracts, fearing that such link could not last. Augusta does not cease belittling Brick at the rank of servant, making him answer the telephone and open the car door. She learns on the telephone that Eden is kept on the boat of her husband. While on their boat Laken and Ted begin kissing each other, see Eden on Lionel's yacht...

Episode 95
Augusta surprises Eden and Lionel on the yacht. She demands an explanation from Eden.  Laken, suspecting a link between Eden and her father, refuses for Ted to walk her back home. Once taken in the Capwell residence, Ted criticises his sister in front of Kelly. Dominic enters the Lockridge residence and slips a note into Lionel's jacket. But hearing Augusta and Lionel coming back, he hides in the wardrobe. Mason asks the doctor of the private hospital where he hid Peter to reveal his presence to nobody. Later afterwards in the presidential suite of the Capwell hotel where he discusses with Veronica, he is joined by C.C.. Veronica leaves them to spy on the discussion in the neighbouring room behind the two-way mirror. One more time, C.C. accuses his son for being a murderer. At the end of his nerves, Mason threatens C.C. with a shard of a bottle. Lionel continues swearing to Augusta that he loves her and that he is faithful to her. Augusta refuses to believe it and asks him to leave their room to get changed. She heads for the wardrobe...

Episode 101
Elizabeth and Lionel discover the treasures which are concealed in the safe found on board Amanda Lockridge: jewellery, gold coins, sculptures and a special manuscript which proves to be the log. Lionel discovers there that Nathaniel Capwell, the ancestor of C.C., could be at the origin of the death of his grandfather and captain of the ship, Horatio Lockridge. Lionel also discovers a strange box, a Chinese puzzle, that he does not manage to open. He takes it to the X ray machine to try to define its contents. Mason comes to announce to his father and Kelly where Peter was discharged of the expenses which weighed against him concerning the accusation of the attempted murder of Joe. He invokes a vice of procedure. He then goes to Peter's hospital bed to announce the news to him and subjects him to a document making the addressee of a quarter of inheritance to come from Mason. In exchange, Peter will have to wash Mason of any suspicion during a press conference envisaged the following day. Once again, Dominic attracts an intrusion at the Lockridge's. First on the point to be surprised by Elizabeth and Lionel, he manages to hide clippings on the death of Channing Jr in Lionel's desk...

Episode 102
Warren goes to the museum and learns that Summer left the city. On the yacht of Lockridge, Elizabeth and Lionel hide in the chest of Amanda Lockridge from counterfeiting fabricated by Elizabeth. Lionel undertakes then, at some hours of his official recovery, to plunge the chest back into the depths of the ocean. After essential press conference, Eden establishes from Lionel that he intends to bring the chest to the surface. A press conference in the private hospital, Peter publicly admits to having lied when he declared to have seen Mason with the lifeless body of Channing Jr five years earlier. He advances to have seen just across the window of the office a large man with dark hair, but without having been able to identify him. After his statement, Mason thanks Peter by confessing to him that the his father has disinherited him several weeks ago...

Episode 103
The party at the museum for the official presentation of the treasures of Amanda Lockridge begins. Eden is the only representative of the Capwell clan, C.C. and his staff follow the event on television, at the Capwell residence. Laken prefers also not to accompany her parents, not wanting to participate in this new struggle between the Lockridges and Capwells. Ted uses the absence of Augusta and Lionel to join Laken at home and to exchange with her their Christmas presents ahead of time. Mason accepts a call from Dominic which, coming in as an anonymous source, informs him that he could be likely to find some compromising indications in the residence Lockridge. Mason disembarks to their place some minutes afterwards with a mandate of house search. In spite of the protests of Laken, he opens Lionel's briefcase and finds gold coins there having belonged to Sophia...

Episode 104
The police officers discover inside the drawer of Lionel's desk clippings relating to the murder of Channing Jr.. Warren goes back to see Gina and asks her to tell him where Summer is. Gina entrusts him with the information that she is in Los Angeles and reveals the the fact that she was a rape victim in the past. In the museum, Lionel begins opening the chests of Amanda Lockridge and introduces to the public and to the cameras the leaders of work whom they conceal: Rembrandt and various sculptures. Laken and Ted join him to inform him that the police came to the house to search it and to tell him about the fact that Mason was found there. C.C., finally has come to join Eden in the museum, learns from Mason that he has in reservation a good surprise at the end of Lionel's public number. Indeed, while he reads in front of assistance the last lines of the log of Amanda Lockridge changed by Elizabeth, Lionel is stopped by Mason...

Episode 105
Lionel is driven to prison. He hardly needs time to get on well with the security guards and his neighbours in the cell, with whom he extemporises a Christmas choir. C.C., in doubt after a brawl with Augusta, gets worried about knowing if Eden indeed has views on Lionel. Eden reassures him as for the hate which she feels for him. Mason goes to see Kelly and Joe to find out what they know about gold coins found at Lionel's house. Kelly tells him that in the past they were given to Sophia by Lionel, with whom she had a link. Kelly adds that she had thought until then that it was Warren who had stolen them. She continues however thinking that her stepbrother could have a role in the death of Channing Jr. Dominic calls Mason and tells him that Lionel this evening is wearing the same dinner jacket as he wore the evening of the death of Channing. Mason searches the jacket and finds the note slipped in by Dominic there some days before. Discovering traces of blood there, he insists that the police laboratory look at them: the blood is six years old and is the same group as that of Channing. Lionel announces to Mason that he decides to pass on admissions. He arranges before to find Augusta in the room of cross-examination, with a prepared candlelit dinner for this Christmas Eve dinner...

Episode 111
Augusta and Lionel understand that the note found in the jacket of Warren, was intended to trap Lionel, and had been deposited in the evening when Lionel was stunned by an unknown person in the bathroom. Lionel then suspects Dominic of being the instigator of this. Wanting to meet Kelly who she – is the only one able to drive him to Dominic, Lionel goes to the office of Eden and makes her call Kelly to fix him an appointment. Still suffering from headaches, Kelly must however go to the hospital before. The doctor diagnoses her with a simple state of stress. Elizabeth goes to Cruz and accuses him, following the description of the security guards, of having broken into Lionel's office at the museum. Eden becomes her photographer, to search for the slides which she stole from Cruz. But she learns that Cruz already came to recover them. She then goes home and loses her temper. In a clash, Eden and Cruz kiss each other, but Cruz ends up showing Eden the door when Elizabeth comes into sight again. Lionel finds Dominic's trace. He waits for him to go out from his home with the suitcases which he prepared...

Episode 112
Mason tells Ted about the link which maintained Sophia and Lionel were a couple, then joins Eden and C.C.. Ted asks Eden if she thinks that this link could be possible. Mason tells C.C the death of Channing Jr is due to the fact that Sophia's link with Lionel caused a great extent of his behaviour: Sophia would indeed have complained about the wool-gathering of C.C. and about his frequent absences caused by his job. He takes proof of an unsuccessful petition for divorce whom Sophia had started one year before her death. Again, C.C. loses his temper and Ted escapes to C.C's office.  Brick tries to persuade Amy to keep her baby. Shortly after his departure, Amy accepts a surprise visit from Jackie Parks, an old friend from her studies. Jackie is currently married to an officer of the Navy and envies the baby Amy is waiting for. At Dominic's, Lionel discovers a note including several figures. He understands that the train, in fact is the Victoria express for Chicago. He ends up finding Dominic in the dining car and surprises him after the inspector left. Dominic escapes towards the door and, in a fight, seems to fall from the train. Lionel, taken by panic, draws the bell of alarm...

Episode 113
The inspector decides to rejoin on the train in spite of Lionel's allegations which believe Dominic has been thrown from the train. Lionel finds in the wagon the wrong beard which Dominic lost in the fight. He also sees traces of blood which he decides to follow. Hidden in her compartment, Sophia indeed hurt herself by having the beard torn off. She recollects the night of accident on board of Lionel's boat and remains persuaded that he wanted to kill her intentionally. C.C. gets worried about Ted's reaction after Mason's revelations and asks Eden to find him and to try to discuss it with him. Gina asks Rosa to speak to him about Sophia. In spite of the disapproval of Ruben, she praises him about Sophia whom she deeply loved. In State Street bar, Amy and Jackie are joined at their table by two single men, Frank and Scott. But they leave them after learning that Amy is pregnant and Jackie is married ! Jackie then phones her husband at the base and learns that he is not going to come back finally as planned. Disappointed, she leaves again with Amy by forgetting her wallet near the telephone. After a quick discussion with Eden, Ted finds the wallet and goes to see Amy where he learns of Jackie. On board of express Victoria, Sophia catches a knife and joins Lionel in the deserted dining car. While she gets ready to stab Lionel, he sees her reflexion in the window pane facing him and succeeds in immobilising his attacker on the bar. He discovers Sophia's face then…

Episode 114
Lionel takes Sophia into a cabin. He approaches her for having kept silent during these fifteen years and refrains from having pushed her – over the edge the fateful evening. To prevent her from calling for help because he fears for her life, Lionel gags her and trusses her up. At the railway station of Sacramento, a man, in possession of a note signed by Sophia, gets on the train. He seems in search of her. Augusta tells Laken about the charge of her father. She announces to her about the link of Lionel with Sophia. Ted, who goes to see Laken, has an accident with his jeep. He arrives irritated towards the Lockridge's. Augusta accepts the visit from a policeman who informs her that if Lionel does not come to their post the following morning, he will be considered as a fugitive. And Augusta is unaware where he is. In spite of the analyses of his doctor, Peter decides to release himself from the private hospital. He phones Kelly who refuses to see him because she must go to work, then goes to Joe who asks him to leave. Peter then goes to The Mesa. When seeing him entering, Veronica leaves the table and runs away. Barbara Anderson, one of the waitresses, offers Kelly to leave and to finish the coffee. By looking at her, Peter has visions of Kelly. The man on the train, Marcello, ends up finding Sophia in the cabin with Lionel. Both men then fight in the corridor until Lionel loses balance in the wagon...

Episode 115
Marcello reassures Sophia by saying to her that Lionel had only what he deserved by falling from the train in motion. But Sophia doubts this, realising that he did not try to kill her having found her. Charlie Stubbs, a bum, finds Lionel's body lying along the rails. He exchanges the jacket with him and escapes. To forget their disagreement about the guilt of Lionel, Ted offers Laken to escape in the city with him. While she had first accepted, Laken hesitates, preferring to remain present for her father. Cruz gives Eden slides made from the plates of the log of Amanda Lockridge. Eden discovers the existence of an office which would contain Amanda's diary. Cruz agrees to help Eden find it in exchange for 50 % of what will be found on board of the boat. Peter goes back to The Mesa before the departure of Barbara, with some perfume and a white carnation for her. He offers her a drink in the bar. But by looking at her, he continues having visions of Kelly. When he leaves again, Barbara's body is lying inanimate on the floor...
